My name is Maria Moreno and I’m the founder of Lupercia. As a tea sommelier, I welcome you to Bonn’s Südstadt. My tea shop is named after my grandmother.
My story
How I found
my way to tea.
My journey into tea began in childhood. My grandmother’s name was Lupercia. In the afternoons she set the tea table for us grandchildren and prepared the tea we drank together.
At these gatherings, she told us stories from her childhood, and we laughed a great deal. Those unforgettable moments have always stayed with me. Every time I prepare tea today, I remember them.
When I set the tea table for my guests, it feels a little like carrying on my grandmother’s tradition. It brings those memories back to life.

More than ten years ago, I took a tea sommelier course. Today, as a tea sommelier, I combine expert selection with clear, personal advice. I make origins, character and preparation easy to understand.
At Lupercia, you’ll find many varieties of tea, tea ware, accessories and delicacies. My connection with Argentina is also reflected in selected yerbas, gourds and bombillas.
